Sean joined Hostplus in February 2025 as Chief Financial Officer. With over three decades of experience in key financial services roles, including leading superannuation internal and external audit, and risk and regulatory teams at KPMG and PwC, Sean brings considerable expertise to the fund.

As Chief Financial Officer, Sean is responsible for overseeing and optimising the finance and investment operations functions of Hostplus.

Roles and key responsibilities

Chief Financial Officer

• Financial Strategy: Lead the preparation and management of the fund’s annual budget, providing crucial insights to shape the fund’s financial direction.
• Financial and Resource Management: Manage various resources including the allocation of staffing to projects and all Hostplus financial activities.
• Reporting: Oversee reporting, detailed financial analysis, and timely delivery of
  statutory financial and tax reporting, including APRA returns.
• Investment Operations: Lead and oversee the investment operations team to administer the fund’s extensive investment portfolio, including the provision of key analytics and reporting to support investment decision making.
